Sie appellieren daher an die europäischen Regierungen, eine gemeinsame Politik zu verwirklichen, die für einen würdigen und menschlichen Empfang derjenigen Bevölkerungsgruppen sorgt, die sich in Not und Elend befinden. Die Unfähigkeit der Staaten, nationale Egoismen zu überwinden, ist ein neues Signal für ein krankes Europa, in dem das Eigeninteresse über das Allgemeininteresse gestellt wird.Die Freimaurer-Obedienzen erinnern daran, dass der Respekt der Menschenrechte und das Prinzip der Menschenwürde zu den Gründungsprinzipien des europäischen Hauses gehören. Auf der Grundlage solcher Prinzipien ist die Solidarität der Nationen entstanden. Der Geist der Solidarität ist jetzt noch notwendiger angesichts der Umwälzungen, die sich in zahlreichen Weltgegenden vollziehen.<br /> <br /> Die Geschichte des europäischen Kontinents zeigt, dass er aus zahlreichen Völkerwanderungen hervorgegangen ist, und daher müssen die gegenwärtigen Dramen einen Appell an das Gewissen provozieren und eine neue Willkommenspolitik generieren. Geschieht das nicht, dann wird der europäische Kontinent zum Schauplatz von Abspaltungen und Konflikten, die die Völker erneut ins Unglück stürzen.
