Are you a Mason ? Postkarten
1907 veröffentlichten die “Anglo-American Card Company” und “Macoy Publishing Company” (New York) ein Set bestehend aus sechs Postkarten des Künstlers Irvin M. Kline.
Schon bald wurden diese kopiert und fanden somit weiter Verbreitung.
Allen Motiven gemeinsam ist die neue und ganz andere Bedeutung, die den Worten gegeben wird.
Selbstironisch und augenzwinkernd wird auch das „Goat“-Motiv persifliert.
